Plateau North PDP youths begins
mobilization for 2023 elections
Youths of the Peoples Democratic Party in Plateau North Senatorial zone of the State have embarked on youth enlightenment, sensitisation, mass mobilization, and constitutional education towards youth participation in the 2023 general elections.
The youth leader of the zone, John Mark Pam, said that the zone has scheduled series of activities, including political summit, creation of awareness on voter’s registration, and mobilization of youths ahead of the February 26 by-election for Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency of Plateau State.
Pam unfolded the youth political programme Wednesday during an interactive session with Journalists at the PDP Northern Zone office, Bukuru, Jos South local government area, Plateau State.
He noted that the media play a vital role in political mobilization, emphasizing that Plateau North, being the strong hold of the PDP in the state, will leverage on the media to sensitize its people, particularly on the ongoing voter’s registration and the new polling units created by the INEC.
“The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been repositioned across the country to take over power from the national down to the state levels across Nigeria, and we have a strong conviction that the media will play a critical role to actualize this dream”, he said.
He also noted that “it is only the PDP that has the political will with credible intellectuals and sound-minded people who will salvage Nigeria from the current political quagmire.”
He explained that youths in Plateau North have resolved to work assiduously with all candidates that would emerge from the party with the aim of returning the PDP to power in 2023.
He expressed hope that the party would provide a level playing ground for all members of the party during the party primaries for the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency by-election and would support whoever emerges as a demonstration of internal democracy justice prefactory to 2023.
