Plateau Senator Daduut empowers over 80 in ICT, waste to wealth management

The lawmaker representing Plateau South Senatorial District, Senator, Nora Ladi Daduut has trained over 80 graduates from her constituents in different areas of information, communication and technology, ICT as well as waste to wealth programme.

The Senator who spoke to our correspondent on the empowerment programme which took place in Namu Quanpan local government council of the state yesterday said “As part of my representative functions to my constituents over the years, I have made it of paramount importance that youths in my constituency are given requisite skills to establish them in gainful self-employment.”

In her words ” I have facilitated many training for skill acquisition, entrepreneurship development and ICT as well as empowered thousands of my constituents with several empowerment equipments and tools that had taken place in the past with thousands of beneficiaries that are now gainfully employed.”

” I have as well constructed schools and carried out several other projects in my Senatorial zone.”

Senator Daduut who has also empowered several widows and orphans said that the ICT and waste management training is aimed at developing human capacity and employment generation for youths in the senatorial district.

“At the end of their courses, trainees are being given Training Certificates as well as cash donations.

Senator Daduut noted that she will continue to deliver on her campaign promises while in the senate and urged the People of the zone to support the administration of Governor Simon Lalong for the betterment of the state.

She congratulated all the beneficiaries and urged them to diligently apply the skills learned in course of their training for their socio-economic advancement in the society.

Senator Daduut thanked the people of the Senatorial zone for their support and seized the opportunity to reiterate her commitment to ensuring that the people of the district enjoy the benefits of democracy while in the senate .
