Bokkos (Plateau), March 12, 2020  The Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has unveiled two new policy documents on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) and Staff Scheme of Service toward high productivity and growth.

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Yohanna Izam, unveiled the two Policy documents after receiving them from the Registrar of the university, Mr Amos Mallo, on Thursday in his office.

Izam said that the policy scheme document was soley for senior staff of the institution.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations  Officer (PRO) of the university, Mr John Agam.

The statement which was made available to Daybreak, described the event as historic.

The vice chancellor described the documents as “critical and important” to the growth of the University in a technologically driven world and in line with the core aspirations of the founding fathers of the institution.

He said that he wished to bequeath a university that would continue to meet contemporary needs of society, while the scheme of service would serve as a compass that would direct the attitude and behaviour of staff to their duties.

He said that the ICT documents would be available in the University’s Library and in the offices of Heads of Departments and Units for reference and guidance.

Earlier, while presenting the two documents to the vice chancellor, Mallo said that the production of the two documents followed the directive of the Fourth Governing Council of the university during its meeting held in November 2018.

He called on the benefiting staff to take opportunity of the documents to serve the institution better and move it to the next level.
