By Israel Adamu ,Jos

Federal lawmaker representing Pankshi/Kanke/Kanam in the house of representatives Hon Yusuf Gagdi at the weekend expressed confidence that the people of Plateau would vote the All Progressives Congress APC from top to bottom in the forthcoming polls.

He made this know while speaking at his reelection campaign in Pankshin local government council of the State.

Rep. Yusuf Gagdi (APC-Plateau) declared that in the upcoming general elections, Plateau residents would support the APC candidates at all levels.

The lawmaker argued that the party had made significant progress for the state’s residents and all Nigerian citizens, adding that voters would support the party to build on these gains.

”The APC-led government at both state and national levels have done well for the people and I have no doubt our people in Plateau will vote the party from top to bottom

”Today we are proud of quality roads, functional rail lines and other infrastructure; this is why we are confident that Plateau people and indeed Nigerians will vote APC,” he said.

On his reelection bid, Gagdi said that his achievements in the last three years were visible enough to speak for him, but promised to do more if voted again.

”We have done a lot for the people of this constituency in the last three years but it not enough.

”Our achievements in the area of education, construction of rural roads, hospitals, provision of potable water, rural electrification, agriculture, human capital development and many others, are not hidden.

”In 2019 I had covenant with my people, to deliver good governance to them and have not failed even though I am human, but I’m determined to do more.

”So, I am calling on my people to give me their mandate again so that we will be able to touch those areas we are yet to address in ensuring that they have better and quality representation,” he said.

Plateau State Governor Simon Bako Lalong who also spoke at the occasion asked the people of Pankshin, Kanke, Kanam Federal Constituency to vote massively for the APC and return Rt. Hon. Yusuf Gagdi to the green Chambers of the National Assembly because of his excellent performance.

He said the people have seen and touched the projects he has carried out in the Constituency both for water, education, healthcare, infrastructure among others that have improved the lives of the citizens. He said it was Gagdi who sponsored the bill for upgrading the Federal College of Education Pankshin into a University as well as another Bill to create a new Federal College of Education in Dengi.

“You have stood out among the legislators representing Plateau at the national assembly and have worked closely with the Deputy Speaker to ensure that our interests are projected. I commend you for making my work easier as Governor and wish there were more like you. You deserve to go back and do more for the people” he said.

Lalong said the forthcoming elections present a good opportunity to reward excellence and effectiveness by massively voting for the APC from Top to Bottom.

He urged them to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as Governor, Hon. Diket Plang as Senator as well as all candidates for the Houses of Assembly in the Zone.

Also speaking, APC Gubernatorial candidate in Plateau State Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda said APC is proud to have people like Hon. Gagdi who are loyal, passionate and sacrificial.

He said the impact of the projects and programmes executed by Hon. Gagdi has gone beyond the Constituency and put the party in good light.

Nentawe was happy that as the leader of the Legacy Group, Gagdi has paid attention to the plight of the next generation which gives an indication that they will work closely together to take the younger generation to greater heights when elected.

Plateau APC Chairman Hon. Rufus Bature said with the performance of people like Gagdi, the work of the party has been made easier because people know that APC keeps is promises.

He urged the people of PKK not to be deceived by the opposition into wasting their votes on parties that have records of failure or no record at all.

Mr Philip Dasun, the Director General of campaign council, thanked the lawmaker for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity.

He promised that the council would work assiduously to actualise its mandate of ensuring that Gagdi returned to the National Assembly and continued to provide quality representation for the people.

Other speakers also assured that they will work assiduously for the victory of Gagdi and all other candidates of the APC during the elections.

Our correspondent reports that Governor Lalong later presented keys to 20 vehicles donated by the member to the campaign team
