Police Command Nabs A Man Who Allegedly Killed his Stepmother In Okehi – Kogi

The Kogi state Police Command has arrested one man identified as Idris Aminu for allegedly killing his stepmother, Salamotu Aminu with a pestle in Ihima Obeiba Ebozohu community in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Confirming the incident, the Kogi state police public relations officer SP William Aya said,the command has arrested one Idris Aminu for allegedly killing his stepmother with a pestle over the weekend.

According to him, “the lifeless body of Salamotu was discovered by her daughter in her room.Our men immediately mobilised to effect his arrest, he is currently in our custody while investigation is ongoing” he added

The incident was said to have happened on Saturday night while the victim was fast asleep.

Eye witness account told our Correspondent that three days earlier, the suspect had attempted to kill the old woman with poison but she survived the trial.
