Police: Commissioner Decorates 138 Officers To Next Ranks

In an effort to improve service delivery, the state Commissioner of Police,Ali Hayatu Kaigama, acting on orders by acting Inspector General of Police,Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun today Friday decorates 138 officers to next ranks.

This followed the recommendation of Acting Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun Ph.D., NPM, and approval by the Police Service Commission, today 18th August, 2023, the Commissioner of Police, Sokoto State Command, CP Ali Hayatu Kaigama Psc, and his management team, decorated one hundred and thirty eight (138) confirmed Inspectors to the substantive rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II) at the State Headquarters Gwandu Road Sokoto.

The ceremony was graced by members of the command’s management team, Head of Departments, Senior Police Officers, families and relatives of the promotees.

In his welcome/congratulatory massage, the Commissioner of Police Sokoto state Police Command, CP. Ali Hayatu Kaigama Psc, congratulated the newly promoted officers on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, and enjoined them to put-in more commitment and professionalism while discharging their legitimate duty. He urged them to consider the new rank as a motivation and additional responsibilities. He also warned them to be disciplined, loyal and hardworking.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of newly promoted senior officers, ASP. George Idoko, thanked the Almighty God for life and sound health to witness this memorable day. He further expressed their profound gratitude to the Acting Inspector General of Police, the Police Service Commission, the Commissioner of Police and his Management Team for finding them worthy of the promotion and promised to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their responsibilities.
