Police Detain Naira Marley for Questioning in Mohbad’s Death Investigation

The Lagos State Police Command revealed on Tuesday night that Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has been apprehended to aid ongoing inquiries into the tragic passing of the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

In an official statement, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, disclosed, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for questioning and further investigative procedures.”

Naira Marley himself announced his return to Lagos in a tweet on Tuesday night, indicating his willingness to cooperate with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. He stated, “I’d like to inform you that I have just returned to Lagos, Nigeria, to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s crucial that I play my part for Imole.”

He added, “I will be meeting with the police, hoping that the truth will be uncovered and justice will prevail.”
