Police Extend Tinted Permit Deadline to Aug 12

This decision was made in response to public concerns and feedback regarding the reactivation of the digital application process.

The extension aims to allow further enhancements and refinements to the application process, ensuring it remains user-friendly, secure, and accessible to all.

DSP Ahmad Rufa’i in a statement said the NPF has taken into account the voices of Nigerians, using them to guide ongoing reviews of the process.

Accorngly, efforts are underway to simplify both physical and digital application procedures, including enhanced verification mechanisms and streamlined processes to reduce delays and eliminate inconveniences. 

The only authorized platform for applying or renewing the Tinted Glass Permit is (link unavailable) and that Citizens can report unauthorized or hidden charges, as well as extortion during application or biometric capturing, via the dedicated hotline 08032345167.

The Tinted Glass Permit is a regulatory requirement aimed at enhancing public security by tracking and monitoring vehicles with tinted windows, which can potentially be used for illicit activities.
