The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has congratulated the Chairman and members of the newly inaugurated 10th Governing Council of the institution.
Speaking in Lokoja on Monday, Prof. Usman described their appointment as a remarkable decision by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, reflecting his commitment to strengthening higher education in the state.
He expressed confidence that the Council would collaborate with the management team to add value to the institution. The Rector commended the Governor for the quality of the appointments, noting that the members possess competence and integrity to steer the affairs of the Polytechnic.
Prof. Usman described the Council Chairman, Barr. Sani Shaibu, as a friend and brother, adding that his appointment was a wise choice that would help the Polytechnic “fly higher.”
He further highlighted that the institution has grown into a cosmopolitan citadel of learning, with students admitted from across the country. He assured that the management remains committed to upholding standards, discipline, and quality assurance.
The Rector prayed for a successful tenure for the Council and reaffirmed the Polytechnic’s readiness to work harmoniously with it to sustain academic excellence.
Members of the 10th Council are: Barr. Sani Shaibu (Chairman), Dr. Emmanuel Abanida, Dr. Muhammed Salihu, Mr. Rufai Malik Adeiza, Mr. Emmanuel Ileanwa Ocheni, and Mr. Obanewo Titus Femi.
