By Gabriel Udeh, Kaduna

Socialists party, the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) Kaduna on Saturday staged a protest against the immediate past National Chairman of the party Mr Falalu Bello, over his alleged plan to open a parallel factional party office in the area.

The protest which would have led to a bloody clash in the state was however averted by security personnel otherwise known as Civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), who stopped the protesters from flying the street with placards with different inscriptions.
Nipped in the bud when about commencing at the popular Jos road, near Central market Kaduna, at about 10:15am, the protesters, including state chairman, Kaduna North local Executive members and some youth leaders warned Mr Falalu Bello to the leave kaduna North alone.

Fielding questions from newsman, the Kaduna state chairman of the party Abdulrahman Haruna Danbrini lamented that Mr Bello who was removed from office as the party’s national Chairman since 2020 for illagalities and lacks of following the Party’s guidelines, was circulating invitations to some members in preparation to open another PRP party office in area.

He said aside his indiscipline attitude and been rude to Balarabe Musa, the late national leader of the party, Falalu Bello is currently in federal high court Abuja with the party. He also disclosed that Bello failed to organized national convention for delegate conference to conduct elections before the 2019 general election as resolved by the national body of the party.

Also speaking earlier, Kaduna North local government party’s secretary, Bashir Bello, said they’re protesting because of the plan to create a parallel PRP office in their local government by Falalu Bello, when the existing party office has been there for the last three years. He said all of a sudden, they saw some letters and posters  been distributed by some boys of plan to launch new PRP office in Kaduna north, adding that upon investigation, they uncovered that it was the ousted former national chairman sponsoring the boys to cause disharmony, acrimony and disaffection among members, and warned him to keep us from interfering in the Party’s affairs and face his business.

Bashir who spoke behalf of his chairman said aside committing several illegalities, Bello had been on suspension from the party at his ward for two years, saying the erstwhile chairman invested nothing in the party as speculated, and yet to give account or rendered account since he was removed from office.
