QAT Foundation Celebrates First Lady’s 64th Birthday with 370 Scholarship Awards

NGO, the QAT Foundation, led by its CEO, Hajiya Halimat Tejuosho Adenike, has awarded scholarships to 370 deserving individuals, comprising 150 out-of-school children at the primary level, 150 at the secondary level, and 70 undergraduate students at tertiary institutions.

The event, held at Luchia Hotel in Kaduna, was organized to commemorate the 64th birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

In her remarks, Hajiya Tejuosho emphasized the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting social equity.

She added that the scholarship awards, targeted at people living with disabilities (PLWDs) and out-of-school children, highlight the foundation’s dedication to bridging the educational gap in Nigeria.

Tejuosho stressed that the first lady is a mother indeed whose impact across the globe is worth celebrating at birth anniversary.

She said, “today, we celebrate a woman of exceptional virtue, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, whose life is a testament to selflessness, compassion, and dedication to the betterment of society.

“As we mark this milestone birthday, we honor Senator Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to empowering women, children, and the vulnerable, inspiring countless individuals through her philanthropic work.

“Senator Tinubu’s legacy is a shining example of leadership, integrity, and service to humanity. We are proud to celebrate her life and contributions to our great nation.

“On behalf of the QAT Foundation, I extend warmest felicitations to Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu on her 64th birthday. May this day bring joy, peace, and continued strength in her endeavors.

“As we celebrate Mrs. Tinubu’s birthday, we also celebrate the positive impact she has had on our lives and the lives of countless Nigerians. Her selflessness and generosity inspire us to strive for greatness.

 

“We are proud to support the educational pursuits of these deserving individuals. Our scholarship program aims to provide opportunities for those who would otherwise be denied access to quality education.”

Beneficiaries of the scholarship awards also expressed gratitude to the QAT Foundation, praising the initiative as a lifeline to their educational aspirations.

Aminu Ibrahim, a primary school beneficiary, said, “I’m so happy to receive this scholarship. It means I can continue my education and achieve my dreams.”

Josephine Kazah, a secondary school beneficiary, echoed similar sentiments, saying, “This scholarship is a blessing. I promise to work hard and make the most of this opportunity.”

Temidare Shakira Lawal, an undergraduate beneficiary, thanked the foundation for its support, stating, “This scholarship has eased the financial burden on my family. I’m grateful for QAT Foundation’s investment in my future.”
