Question the source of your children’s wealth – Kanayo O Kanayo warns parent

Renowned actor Kanayo O Kanayo recently shared valuable advice for parents during a public event, cautioning them against accepting monetary gifts from their children without probing into the source of their wealth.

In a video circulating on social media, Kanayo emphasized the importance of parents questioning the origins of expensive gifts received from their children, particularly if their children are not engaged in significant endeavors. He illustrated this with an example of a scenario where a child presents a lavish gift to their parent, and the parent is aware that the child’s activities do not warrant such wealth.

Kanayo stressed the need for parents to instill a culture of accountability in their children by asking them about the sources of their possessions. He highlighted the danger of parents’ indifferent attitudes potentially nurturing corrupt mindsets in their children.

In a previous interview last December, Kanayo Okanayo had discussed his approach to movie roles, expressing his lack of fear in portraying certain characters due to his strong faith in God. He explained that even roles requiring him to be in a coffin or enact ritualistic scenes do not perturb him, as he believes his talent is a gift from God.

Reflecting on his son’s 22nd birthday in November 2023, Kanayo O Kanayo had praised his son’s character, describing him as compassionate and protective of his siblings.
