Rapper Drake Announces Music Hiatus Due to Health Concerns

Canadian rapper Drake has revealed that he will be taking a break from music to address ongoing stomach issues that have been affecting his health. This announcement comes shortly after the release of his latest album.

During his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One, Drake candidly shared, “I probably won’t make music for a little bit, I’m gonna be honest. I need to focus on my health first and foremost… I need to get right.”

He went on to explain, “I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach.”

The Grammy Award-winning artist, who is 36 years old, had just unveiled his latest studio album, titled “For All The Dogs.” Notably, the album features his five-year-old son, Adonis, in a music video for a new single called “8AM in Charlotte.”

Drake’s decision to take a break from music raises questions about the status of his upcoming concert dates, including shows scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Toronto, where eager fans have already started queuing up.

However, Drake assured that he would fulfill certain prior commitments, stating, “I got some other things I need to do for some other people that I made promises.” He also mentioned that during his hiatus, he plans to immerse himself in the studio, although the duration of his break remains uncertain. He said, “I don’t even know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or so, maybe a little longer.”
