The Zonal Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Salvation Center, Pastor Emmanuel Fikioluwa, has urged men to engage in regular physical exercise to enhance productivity and improve their overall well-being.
Pastor Fikioluwa made the call during a friendly football match between the church’s Men Fellowship and Women Fellowship, organized to promote physical activity, family bonding, and unity among members.
Speaking at the event, Pastor Fikioluwa emphasized that physical fitness is essential for maintaining both mental and spiritual health. He encouraged young people in the church to channel their energy into meaningful activities and avoid social vices that could derail their future.
According to him, “Exercise is not only beneficial to the body but also strengthens focus, discipline, and productivity. A healthy body supports a sound mind and a stronger spiritual life.”
The Men Fellowship Leader, Brother Obaje Amidu, said the initiative was designed to foster love, unity, and teamwork among members. He noted that sporting events have a unique way of bringing people together, irrespective of background or age, and urged men to prioritize physical fitness as part of their daily routine.
The football match, which ended 1–0 in favor of the Women Fellowship, drew excitement and cheers from members. Despite the men’s loss, the event was widely celebrated as a success for promoting unity, fun, and healthy living within the congregation.
Dignitaries at the event included Pastor Moze Adagba, Pastor in charge of Province One, Kaduna, and other church leaders.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Fikioluwa encouraged members to balance their spiritual and physical well-being, noting that the church’s emphasis on unity and holistic health reflects its commitment to the total development of its members.
