FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, has stated that the relaunch of the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 3.0 would stimulate micro and small enterprises in addition to strengthening household incomes and community resilience.
Mahmoud stated this at the official launch of the Renewed Hope Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) 3.0, and the flag-off of the FarmerMoni Dry/Wet Season Disbursement, held in Abuja.
The minister lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visionary leadership for sustaining people-centric interventions that combat poverty, foster inclusive growth, and empower citizens.
She described GEEP 3.0 as a strategic and timely demonstration of the Renewed Hope Agenda, expanding affordable financing to traders, artisans, farmers, women, and youth to boost micro-enterprises, household incomes, and community resilience.
The Minister emphasized the FarmerMoni Dry/Wet Season Disbursement as a vital step toward food security, value-chain development, and rural prosperity.
She welcomed the new Technical Working Group for its role in ensuring technical oversight, efficient fund disbursement, prudent utilization, and accountability.
Mahmoud reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to collaborate with relevant agencies for maximum beneficiary access, urging participants to use funds responsibly, reinvest productively, and prioritize repayment to sustain the programme’s impact.
