Reactions trail replacement of SARS with SWAT

Nigerians have reacted to creation of a new unit named Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, as replacement for the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

According to a statement from the Force Public Relations Officer DCP Frank Mba, it is expected that the unit will fill the gaps arising from the dissolution of the defunct SARS. He added that recruitment has commenced for operatives of the new unit.

Nigerians have now reacted to the announcement and also expressed their fear over the new police unit.
