“Reno Omokri Challenges ‘Obidients’ Amidst Supreme Court Appeal”

Reno Omokri, a former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, took a firm stance against the ‘Obidients,’ a group of supporters backing Peter Obi’s Labour Party candidacy in the 2023 general election. Omokri condemned their behavior, characterizing it as erratic, insulting, and lacking self-control, particularly in their interactions with the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Supreme Court justices.

He pointed out that the ‘Obidients’ had openly mocked and insulted the Chief Justice of Nigeria and his colleagues, even going as far as creating disrespectful caricatures of the justices. Omokri criticized the group for spreading false conspiracy theories about the justices receiving bribes, which had turned sections of the public against them. He emphasized that these justices had families and friends who were aware of the disrespectful narratives promoted by the ‘Obidients.’

Omokri cautioned the ‘Obidients’ to exercise self-control and adopt a more strategic approach to their actions. He reminded them that individuals they criticize today might be the very people they need support from in the future. He urged them to consider the consequences of their actions and emphasized the importance of thinking before acting.

Expressing his disdain for their behavior, Omokri openly stated that he had already prepared a dance routine, which he called “Obito Continua,” in anticipation of the Supreme Court dismissing Obi’s appeal. This comment highlighted his confidence in the outcome of the case and his willingness to celebrate the dismissal of the appeal with a dance.
