Renowned Yoruba Actor Sisi Quadri Passes Away at 44

Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, a prominent figure in the Yoruba Nollywood industry, known by his stage name Sisi Quadri, has reportedly passed away.

Oyebamiji, who celebrated his 44th birthday on December 25, 2023, succumbed to death as confirmed by some of his colleagues in the Yoruba movie sector.

Nollywood actress Abiola Bayo, took to her verified Instagram handle to announce his demise, expressing deep sorrow and praying for his soul to rest in perfect peace.

Another actor, Tunde Yusuf, shared a poignant message along with Sisi Quadri’s picture, emphasizing the inevitability of returning to Allah and offering prayers for his departed soul.

Regina Chukwu also extended her condolences to Oyebamiji’s family, revealing that he had been battling for his life in recent days. She also shared her personal connection with him, mentioning that she had trained under him as a makeup artist on set for years.

Sisi Quadri was renowned for his remarkable role in the movie “Seniyan Seranko,” released on December 4, 2004. Additionally, he was set to enthrall audiences in the forthcoming film “Anikulapo: The Return of Spectre,” initially slated for cinema release and now available on Netflix as of today (Friday).
