Over fifty thousand copies of Renewed Hope Initiative, RHI Exercise Books have been handed over to the Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education Muhammad Tukur Alkali for subsequent distribution to pupils across primary and secondary schools in Sokoto State.
Renewed Hope Initiative is an Initiative of Wife of President, Sen Oluremi Bola Ahmed Tinubu with the aim of providing supports and interventions in areas of Education, Agriculture, Health, social investment and women empowerment to complement the efforts of Mr President’s commitments which also goes in line with the 9-point agenda of the Governor of Sokoto State Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto.
In the education sector, RHI executed numerous projects as provision of ICT Center for Women Development to each of the six geo-political zones of the federation, provision of scholarships for fresh University Students from each of the 36 states and the Initiative planned to provide an alternative high school for girls to each of the 36 States of the federation.
“On behalf of our able Governor and good people of Sokoto State, we thank our dear Mother, Her Excellency Sen Oluremi Tunubu for this all-important intervention as provision of adequate teaching and learning materials is one of the determinants of the success of any education system”,Alkali averred.
