Samkay Athletics Club Presents Kits to Athletes in Bayelsa

Ahead of National Athletics Olympic games and World Junior trials in Benin City, Edo State between June 16th and 18th, 2024, SamKay Athletics club unveiled kits for its athletes in Bayelsa State.

At the brief ceremony held inside the main bowl of the Samson Siasia Sports Complex in Yenagoa, the Founder and Chief Executive of the Sam Kay Athletics Club, Dr. Kola Oredipe said the gesture was to encourage the young and upcoming athletes to aspire to be the best.

Dr. Oredipe who is the Vice Chairman of the Bayelsa State Athletics Association charged the young athletes to utilize the kits to do the State proud at the forthcoming National Athletics Under 20 and Olympic Trials.

Dr. Oredipe who is the Director, Bayelsa State Government New Media said the kits that were handed to the athletes were part of efforts to motivate more youths to get involved in Athletics.

Some of the kits donated to the athletes were running vests, spike shoes, training canvas and sneakers.
