Saraki Donates N10m To 630 Flood Victims In His Constituency

By Kayode AbdulAzeez

The Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has distributed cash gifts to 630 victims of flood disaster in his federal constituency, Kwara central senatorial district.

The cash donation totalling N10 million was disbursed to the beneficiaries at a brief ceremony at ABS Constituency Office, Ilorin.

The Senate President had in the wake of the flood disaster accommodated hundreds of victims in his expansive constituency office in Ilorin, fed and provided relief materials for them.

Distributing the cash gifts to the victims on behalf of the Senate President, the Director General of ABS Constituency Office, Alh Musa Abdullahi said Saraki’s gesture was without any political consideration.

” Our political leader and Senate President deemed it fit to assist the recent flood victims across Kwara central without minding which political part they belong.

” Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki is passionate about the wellbeing and welfare of his people as their leader, hence, his decision to assist the flood victims,” Abdullahi said.

He, however, asked the beneficiaries to reciprocate the Senate President’s kind gesture by voting for the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) during the 2019 presidential elections.

Saying Saraki is always prepared to assist the people of the state through the provision of basic infrastructure and human capital development, Abdullahi urged the beneficiaries to ensure the victory of the Senate President’s party at the poll to enable him continue to dish out more democracy dividends to the people of the state.

Responding, Alh Yusuf Jimoh and Alhaja Adijat Baki thanked Saraki for his kind gesture.

The duo who said Saraki was the only politician that cared for them immediately after the flood disaster, promised to recipricate by mobilising their families and wards to cast their vote for the PDP in next year’s elections.
