Sen. Godiya Akwashiki (APC-Nasarawa North) has trained 100 women and youths in his senatorial district in cosmetology and basic business skills to enable them become self reliant and contribute their quota to national development.

Akwashiki, while speaking at the graduation of the trainees in Akwanga on Sunday, said that the training was in conjunction with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Nasarawa State.

While disbursing the starter package of N10,000 each to the trainees, he urged them to use the knowledge gained to improve on their standard of living and become employers of labour.

“You have been trained on basic business skills and capacity building in cosmetology, that is, production of liquid soaps, pomades, insecticides, perfume, bleach, disinfectants, hair cream, air freshener, shampoo and washing soap, among others.

“You have been selected from the three local government areas that make up Nasarawa North Senatorial district, that is, Akwanga, Wamba and Nassarawa Eggon.
