Senator Hunkuyi speaks on advantage of Shekarau’s Decamp from NNPP

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPC) Kaduna state, Senator Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi on Thursday spokes on the advantage of Senator Ibrahim Shekarau who decamped from their party to the people’s Democratic party (PDP) in kano state recently.

Sen. Hunkuyi who spoke in an interview with newsmen at the end of book launch written by Onuoja L. O, at Arewa House, Kaduna Thursday said most key and prominent members bought to NNPP by Sen. Shakarau did not follow him to PDP when he decamped.

He however acknowledged that Sen. Ibrahim Shekarau was a prominent member of their party.

“He was a prominent member for that matter who has decided to join NNPP along with some key and prominent members also who have picked various tickets across board on the party’s platform.

“Some how, we’ve loss senator Shakerau who has gone back to PDP but we didn’t loss most of the prominent people he brought to the party. which the party can count as an advantage.
But we wish him him good lock, and wish kano state lock”, he said.

Also in an interview with author of book launch, Dr. Onuoja L. O who’s the coordinator of centre for leadership research and development, said the core idea of their book is to be able to internalised and exhibit the value of leadership their founding fathers exhibited.

Dr. Onuoja who’s also Natl coordinator Arewa Youth Alliance for Good Governance explained that the intension is to motivate, inspired and gingered upcoming leaders to enlist themselves in leadership position.

Can”There’s a leadership crises in the country from the look of things now. That is why we invited representations from all the major political parties. The core idea of their book launch is that we should be able to internalised and exhibit the value of leadership our founding fathers exhibited. Many people going into position of leadership today are there for their pocket”, he said.
On the real reasons for his revamped from NNPP, Hunkuyi said he could not have all the time to answer the question.
