Senator Wamakko Commiserates With The Victims Of Goronyo Bandits Attack

The chairman Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko Sarkin Yamman Sokoto, representing Sokoto North Senatorial District has condemned in totality the attack by bandits at Goronyo weekly market on Sunday where several people where reportedly killed.

Media aide to the Senator, Bashar Abubakar said Senator Wamakko described the attack as barbaric and inhuman, saying that no religion allow killing of innocent souls.

The Senator while commiserating with the people of Goronyo Local Government, the families of the deceased persons and the entire Sokoto State, said God will not allow this ugly trend to continue ravaging the Sokoto community.

He prayed Allah to forgive the departed souls and expose those behind the killing of innocent lives.

Senator Wamakko urged the people of the state to continue to pray to Almighty Allah to provide a remedy to these ungodly acts.
It could be recalled that, a gang of several unknown gunmen invaded Goronyo market on Sunday and started shooting sporadically and killed many lives that were at the middle of business activities.
