The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has inaugurated the board of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), urging members to uphold transparency and accountability in overseeing Nigeria’s pension system. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing outstanding pension liabilities and ensuring timely payment of retirees’ benefits. The board is chaired by Opeyemi Agbaje and includes representatives from government institutions, labour unions, and the private sector.
