In a bold move to reshape education in Shanono Local Government Area, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Barau, has pledged to revive and strengthen the educational sector, ensuring every student receives the support they need to succeed.

This commitment was outlined in a press release issued by the Chairman’s spokesperson, Comrade Ammar Wakili Shanono, following a symposium titled *”A Wake-Up Call to Revive Education in Shanono Local Government”* on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

The event, organized by the Shanono Consultative Forum, served as a critical platform for discussing strategies to rejuvenate the region’s educational system.

As the Chief Host, Hon. Barau reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to prioritizing education, describing it as a transformative tool for community development. He praised the Shanono Consultative Forum for their dedication to promoting educational excellence, particularly through additional lessons provided to students preparing for science and technical examinations.

“The future of Shanono rests on the foundation of quality education. Our government is committed to making education not just a priority but a transformative force that shapes our future from the grassroots to higher institutions,” Hon. Barau declared.

The symposium was attended by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Nura Jaafar Shanono, Managing Director of WRECA; Dr. Sabit Shuaibu, Former Director-General of KSACA; and Prof. Nura Magaji, Executive Secretary of Education, Shanono Local Government.

These distinguished leaders shared valuable insights, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and calling on all stakeholders to unite in the mission to revitalize education in Shanono.
