Sheikh Gumi in close door meeting, barred journalists

Shiekh Dr Mahmud Gumi is currently holding a close door meeting with some participants at a meeting on effects of insecurity in northern Nigeria in Arewa house kaduna.

Security men manning the entrance of the venue have barred some journalists from entering the meeting Hall allegedly organized by BBC Hausa service with Shiekh Dr. Muhamud Gumi as
town hall meeting.

The meeting which was earlier scheduled for 31st March 2021, had fixed for 11pm prompt.

The town hall meeting “On how insecurity affects education in northern Nigeria”, in Arewa house conference Hall later slides into close door meeting with selected journalists allegedly of the same faith.

Our reporter who was a star witness in arewa house reported that many journalists earlier invited to partake in the meeting were later prevented from entering the hall by private security hired to man the entrance.

Even journalists with invitation cards were prevented from entering as the private security men insisted on a text massage sent by a lady to journalists originally invited for coverage.

It was also gathered that many Kaduna based journalists who went to the venue were disallowed entry by the security, saying they were working based on instructions.
Journalists who made attempt to forced their way in were locked out, and the entrance door locked.
Recalled that Gumi, had penultimate last month described journalists as criminals for tagging bandits as criminals
