Singer Terry G celebrates his 100th day of no smoking

Renowned singer and artist, Gabriel Othe Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, recently shared a momentous achievement with his fans – commemorating 100 days of abstaining from smoking. In a video expressing his joy and gratitude, Terry G showcased not only the milestone but also a remarkable transformation in his appearance, radiating health and vitality. Fans celebrated the artist’s newfound well-being and complimented his healthy-looking skin in the comments section.

This significant personal achievement follows Terry G’s November 2023 expression of disappointment with the All Progressives Congress (APC), a political party he had previously campaigned for during an election. Using his Instagram story, Terry G addressed issues of alleged misappropriation of the country’s funds, leaving a cryptic message about leaving matters to God. He emphasized the imminent divine judgment awaiting those involved in corruption, highlighting the crucial need for accountability in Nigeria.

Alongside his personal accomplishments and political commentary, Terry G has remained active in the music scene. In May 2023, he teased a highly anticipated collaboration with street singer Portable. The collaboration stirred excitement among fans, as seen in a video shared on Terry G’s Instagram page, featuring him and Portable on the set of a music video. While details about the project were not fully disclosed, Terry G captioned the video with “loading,” intensifying anticipation for the upcoming musical venture.

The association between Terry G and Portable sparked discussions about the convergence of two influential figures in the street music scene. Fans speculated that Portable, known for his energetic street style, had found a mentor and collaborator in Terry G, who is equally renowned for his impactful contributions to the genre.

Nevertheless, Terry G issued a stern warning to those comparing him to Portable, asserting his uniqueness in the music industry. In response to the comparisons, he cautioned fans never to equate him with Portable, emphasizing his status as the “original” compared to Portable, whom he referred to as a “photocopy.” This statement underscored Terry G’s commitment to preserving his distinctive identity in the music industry.
