Six perish in bandits induced ghastly auto crash in B/Gwari LG

Six people have perished at a spot when bandits attacked a commuters along along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road in Kaduna state.

Security agencies reports made available to journalists by internal security and Home afford Commissioner stated that six died at the spot when the bandits opened fire on commuters along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road.

According to the Kaduna state government report of Friday security update, the bandits who were on the run from aggressive patrols in the Birnin Gwari general area, took to the highway around, Ungwan Dangedda, and shot at several vehicles, as they retreated.

The driver of one commercial vehicle was hit, and lost control of the vehicle, which somersaulted several times before coming to a stop. “The bandits then fled the location.

“Rescue efforts revealed that six persons died on the spot from the crash, listed as:

Those died include Abdurrashid Ya’u, Sa’idu Ya’u, Ramatu Ya’u and an unidentified infant, as well as Suwaiba Ali and Sulaiman Ustaz respectively.

“The following citizens in a different vehicle suffered injuries: Ubale Yahuza, Rabiu Ibrahim, Umar Musa, Saude Yusuf, Mohammed Aminu and Kadima Mercy.

The Governor, Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness at the report, and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who perished in the crash, while sending his condolences to their families. He prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The statement added that Security patrols will continue in the general area
