SOKAPU Ag President will not deviate from Southern Kaduna interest – Youths leader

The Youth Wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) has formally congratulated Mr Dio Maisamari on his new position as Acting President of the Union.

Mr. Maisamari, the first Vice President was recently elevated to Acting President of the Union following the resignation of substantive President, Hon. Jonathan Asake, to pursue his life long political ambition, according to statement signed by the national youth leader of the Union, Comarde John Isaac, Sir Jay.

“The Youth Wing is confident that with Mr Dio as President the Union will not deviate from its ideals of aggregating, promoting and articulating the Southern Kaduna interest.

“While we wish Honourable Jonathan Asake all the best in his political sojourn, we want to assure members of the public that the Youth Wing has been and shall in conformity to the constitution (“Subject to the provisions of Section 8 of this constitution.

“And the provisions of the Union’s Charter, SOKAPU, shall not be a politically and religiously partisan organisation), as our great union remain nonetheless non partisan, unbiased and a neutral socio cultural platform committed to the struggles of Justice, fairness and equality for the hard working, peace loving people of Southern Kaduna.

“To this end our doors shall remain opened to all well meaning individuals, groups, and political parties in and across the state and the nation at large”, it stated.

Recalled that the substantive President and former federal house representative member, Hon. Awake, recently resigned his position to contest the number one seat of Kaduna state come 2023.
