Sokoto Command Of NDLEA Arrest Killer Of Staff, 59 Others

Sokoto state Command of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency has early today, Fiday arrested killer of their staff at Bagarawa village of Bodinga local government.

The killer had been at large since January this year.

Speaking to newsmen while parading the killer and effective arrest of 59 susoects at different drugs joints in Sokoto metropolis, the Commandant of the Agency Iro Muhammad said men of the Command have been hunting the suspect since January 2023 and was eventually arrested at Bagarawa village of Bodinga local government.

He said the suspect and his supporters mersed digger in the head of the Command officer which resulted to his death adding that apart from hitting digger in his head cutlass was also used to inflict wounds on his body and that the security situation in the state would \e revised

Malam Iro similarly explaind that of the 59 suspects arrested along joints in Sokoto meteopolis,54 are males while 5 are of the female gender grossing that the arrest was a collecrive efforts of security agencies in the state.

He also said “drugs issue is serious phenomenon that destoy youths and that
most of the security challenges being faced by security agencies is as a result of right drugs consumption. If we are able to reduce the usage to bearest minimum level everything would be alright and the world be peaceful”.

However, the Commandant revealed that the arrest was a collective effort of the Nigerian Army, Police Force, National Security and Civil Defence Corps and rhe National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency

In a related development, Iro Muhammad commended the state government for its continuous support to the Command saying the state government under the leadership of Dr. Ahmad Aliyu received numerous supports for the Agency to execute its imposed duties accordingly.

He then called on parents and general public to pass relevant information to the Command about places where illegal activities takes urging parents to always monitor movements of their children and who they mix with.
