Sokoto Government Closed Ifeoma Guest Inn Indefinitely For Illegal Activities

Receiving incessant reports of killings and irregular activities performed in the Guest Inn and the recent report by the Sokoto Police Command, Sokoto state government has ordered the closure of the hotel.

It was yesterday Thursday the State Commissioner of Police,Ali Hayatu Kaigama paraded a criminal, Saifullah Hassan of Gummi LGA of Zamfara State was suspected and arrested of killing Balkisu Garba.

According to the Kaigama one Mr John the manager of Ifeoma Hotel Phase 1 Old Airport Area Sokoto reported that a woman identified as Balkisu Garba of Gidan Dare behind Jummat Mosque brought into the Hotel by an Unidentified guest was killed in a hotel room by the same man.

Acting on that,the State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, has set up a committee comprising the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr. Jabir Sani Maihula, the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Haruna Abbas Bashar, and security officials to investigate the hotel’s activities.

After visiting the hotel, the committee submitted a report, leading to the state government’s decision to shut down the hotel indefinitely.

It appears that the Sokoto State Government has taken decisive action against Hotel Ifeoma due to alleged illegal activities, including a recent incident involving a girl’s assasination.

The government has set up a committee to investigate and has subsequently shut down the hotel indefinitely.

According to Kaigama, Mr John who was the manager of Ifeoma Hotel Phase 1 Old Airport Area Sokoto reported that a woman identified as Balkisu Garba of Gidan Dare behind Jummat Mosque brought into the Hotel by an Unidentified guest was killed in a hotel room by the same man.

He stated that preliminary investigations on receipt of the report Police operatives from the Old Airport Division led by the DPO swung into action as result the suspect bag which was abandoned after the act containing some receipts of payment and 3 mobile phone SIM cards were recovered which lead to arrest of the suspect.
