Sokoto; Governor Elect,31 Others Receive And Sign Return Documents

The Sokoto state governor elect, his deputy and thirty members of the state House of Assembly has on Thursday received and signed documents for return to office.

The ceremony officiated by INEC was conducted at the INEC’s Collation center.

Speaking shortly after receiving his return certificate, the governor elect, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto praised Allah for giving the opportunity to attained the highest political position in the state.

“Though it was greatly the contributions of the good people of Sokoto state who desired change for better for lives, I promised them I will never divert from my nine points agenda as always stated during my campaign strategy”.

He then cimmended INEC officials for conducting free and fair elections that gave him the mandate ti serve as the fovernor,supporters for their untiring contributions and father of politics in Sokoto state,Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko for his fatherly support all along.

Ahmad Aliyu then called on all to contribute towards the development of the state irrespective of political differences as the state is not for his party but for all. “If we fall we are falling together,and we scale we expressed gratitude together”.Aliyu stated.

Earlier, the National Commissioner incharge of Sokoto,Kebbi and Zamfara states Professor Muhammad Sani Kalla, the Executive Secretary Barrister Hauwa Aliyu in their separate rwmarks expressed gratitude to Allah for giving them the opportunity to fulfill the work imposed on them by offering certificates of return to elected personalities in the persons of governor,deputy governor and thirty members of the state House of Assembly.

They urged others from political parties to regard their failure the will of Supreme Creator.
