Presenting the keys of the generator to the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, the Chief of Staff, Government House, Sokoto, Aminu Haliru Dikko said the gesture is aimed at rescuing the hospital from the terrible condition it is in.

” If you could recall, the governor was here during an unscheduled visit and he was deeply touched by what the despicable situation he met the hospital.

“The hospital was in total darkness, as such he promised to do the needful and thank God, he has fulfilled the promise,” he added

He added that the provision of the generator was one out of the many plans and glad tidings the governor has for the hospital.

Alhaji Dikko restated the present administration’s determination to revamp the health sector of the state.

“Already, the governor has directed the restoration of the monthly allocation to the hospital as part measures to ensure the proper upkeep of the health facility,” He added.

The Chief of Staff further called on the hospital authorities to ensure the proper routine maintenance of the new generator.

Responding, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Bello Umar Tambuwal thanked the governor for coming to the aid of the hospital.

He sadly recalled that the hospital had hitherto remained without light for nine consecutive months.

Dr Tambuwal assured the governor that the new generator wlil be properly taken care of for the benefit of the entire hospital community.

“We also thank the governor for the restoration of our monthly cash allocation,”he added.
