The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) in Sokoto State recently held a one-day stakeholders’ meeting to educate large-scale farmers, small and medium enterprise (SME) owners, and cooperative groups on the Credit Line initiative funded by the Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN).
The meeting aimed to enlighten participants on loan requirements and procedures for accessing funds through Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs).
The initiative is designed to enhance livestock production and support SMEs in scaling and sustaining their operations.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries Development, Abubakar Muhammad Yabo, highlighted the significance of the initiative, describing it as timely support for farmers and SMEs in the state who require financial assistance to boost productivity and expand their businesses.
