Sokoto NDLEA Adopts Rapid Response Method To Curtail Drug Abuse

By Muhammad  Goronyo, Sokoto

The Acting Commandant of the Sokoto Office of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, Mr. Amos Ademola while addressing newsmen in his office said they are presently adopting the style used by hawk while picking chicken on the ground, just pick without any delay and leave.

“We also adopt rapid response, we go to the place, raid the place and leave because we know that in the next minute, another dealer may surface in that place thereby making nonsense on what we have done, so what we do is to keep the place persistently watched”.

He said if they raid a location and another dealer springs up, they would arrest whoever is seen there without causing any casualty or harm.
He further said these methods of approach is making their duty progressive because the good people around called and commend them for what they have done because they restore peace in the area.

Mr. Amos further confirmed that there are hard go areas where miscreants attacked NDLEA staffs or their vehicles ,the reason he said he sad they adopt hawk style of arrests.

Presently, according to Mr.  Amos, they have challenges they want to arrest before delving into another style of arrests.
He then called on parents  to as a matter of fact, monitor activities  and movements  of their wards for better  lives.
