Explaining to newsmen who were at the site for assessment visit led by the state Council Chairman of the NUJ, Comrade Isah Abubakar Shuni, the site project Architect, AbdulHamid Yahuza said the construction has reached 60% advance stage because all the structures are in place.
He said the state Executive Council has approved additional 500 by 800 meters that calls for additional work plus variation that attracts additional N7.7b.
“The additional work is meant for air ambulance, excavation for additional theatre complex in addition to the four theatres already constructed going by the instructions of the client bringing the total to eight”.
Other works according to the architect include staff quarters, radiology complex which forms part of the additional work.
AbdulHamid further explained that out of the 30 months for the whole contract, they had exhausted 14 months leaving them with 16 months to complete and handover to the state government.
Also during the assessment visit, newsmen were at Government Girls Science Academy also at Kasarawa, the resident engineer Usman Muhammad Mainasara explained that both hostels and classrooms are constructed to cater for 2000 students conveniently.
At the end of the assessment visit,Comrade Isah Abubakar Shuni said it is a great achievement from the state government to neighboring communities as 1000 youths are daily engaged for the daily work earning enough to cater for themselves.
