The Member of the House of Representatives representing Kware/Wamakko Federal Constituency, in Sokoto State, AlhajiAhmed Abdullahi Kalambaina ( APC-Sokoto), on Sunday donated bags of assorted fertilizers, 400 water pumping machines and 250 tubewells to the 305 polling units of his constituency .
Speaking before flagging off the distribution of the items, the former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator, representing Sokoto North Senatorial Distirct, Senator, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, commended the lawmaker Kalambaina for the invaluable gesture .
Senator Wamakko, who is also the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defence and Deputy Chairman, Senate Committee on Anti Corruption, admonished other elected representatives to emulate the gesture.
Wamakko also described Kalambaina as a worthy representative whose preoccupation has always been the welfare and comfort of his constituents , adding, ” he always has the people of the constituency at heart .”
Wamakko appealed to the executives of the party in the constituency to ensure justice , equity and fairness in the distribution of the materials .
He further called on politicians not to be selfish as according to him, “they are all holding oath for those that elected them.
“We are praying that anybody we are bringing to represent you should be a good person that has the fear of God and love of his people at heart”.
Speaking earlier in a welcome address, the state chairman of APC, Alhaji Isa Sadiq Achida urged other elected representatives in the state to emulate the gesture by Kalambaina.
According to him, “Kalambaina is following the footsteps of the state party leader, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, whose political accommodation and acceptability are unparalleled.”

In his speech, Kalambaina said that, since his election, he has been executing myriad projects for his constituents, without inviting people for record purposes.
According to Kalambaina, he had also attracted projects worth over N 500 million in his constituency within the last three years.
He promised that, his forthcoming projects will concentrate more on the empowerment of women, girl child, youths and other vulnerable persons across the constituents.
Responding on behalf of the party and the beneficiaries, the state APC Secretary , Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Yabo, lauded Kalambaina for the unparalleled gesture , urging his colleagues to emulate him.
Highlight of the event was the inspection of one of the on going constituency projects of Kalambaina by Senator Wamakko, the Bakin Kusu to Runjin Sambo road, that is nearing completion .
