Troops from the Nigerian military killed two bandits in Mai-Iddo village, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The bandits tried to collect a N1.5 million ransom for four hostages. These hostages, three women and a child, were abducted the previous week.

The military worked with local vigilantes and a family member of the victims to set a trap.“A plan was made with the troops. A man was assigned to deliver the ransom, along with a vigilante. When they arrived at the location, the troops took cover. As two bandits came out to collect the ransom, the troops opened fire and killed them instantly.

The operation successfully rescued the four hostages. They have since been reunited with their families.
