SOSG to Partner with Sokoto Chapter of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for the Development of the State

The Sokoto State Government (SOSG) has announced plans to partner with the Sokoto chapter of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for the Development of the State (AANI). This was revealed by Governor Aliyu when he received members of the state chapter of the association on a courtesy visit.

The Governor expressed confidence in the members of the association, noting that each has a unique contribution to make, given their diverse backgrounds in various professions. “Let me use this medium to remind you that the state government has made a significant investment in sponsoring you to attend this prestigious Institute. Therefore, the state expects much from your vast experience,” he added.

Governor Aliyu also highlighted the recent donation of two vehicles for the use of the Institute’s Muslim community, demonstrating the state’s regard for and concern for their well-being. He assured the association that his doors are always open for discussions on matters related to the development of the state.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Sokoto State chapter of AANI, Shehu Usman Ladan, mni, commended Governor Aliyu for the various developmental programs being executed across the state. “Your Excellency, we commend the transformation taking place in areas such as security, water supply, social welfare, and infrastructure development, among others. I want to assure you that we are ready to contribute so that, together, we can take our state to greater heights,” he said.

Ladan also expressed gratitude to the Governor for appointing several of their members to key positions, including Aminu Haliru Dikko, mni, Chief of Staff to the Government House, and Gandi Umar Muhammad, mni, Senior Special Assistant on Administration and Legal Matters.
