SOUTH-SOUTH RALLY: A SIGN OF VICTORY FOR APC – Reuben Wilson

The founder of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability, PRIFGLA, and South-South Coordinator of The Asiwaju Group, TAG, Chief Reuben Wilson, has reiterated that presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, is loved across the region because of his track record and that the massive support from the south-south means a landslide victory for the APC in 2023.

Reuben who spoke at the Warri Township Stadium in Delta, during the flag-off of the state’s APC Governorship campaign and APC presidential rally, said that, no doubt, the APC will give Tinubu an overwhelming support like never before.

Tinubu was accompanied by leaders of the APC from the region, and at the national level, including his wife, and former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshomhole, and was treated to a grand reception; as party stakeholders vowed to ensure he succeeds Buhari.

His supporters vowed not to rest on their oars, but go to the hinterlands and campaign for him and other candidates of the party in the 2023 general elections.
In an interview with newsmen, Pastor Reuben Wilson noted that, “We are here to celebrate the victory of His Excellency, Bola Tinubu, because he is already there as president of Nigeria, we are only doing the formality awaiting the day he will be sworn in, and for the people of Delta State to know that Ahmed Tinubu is on ground, and that he is South-South and South-South is Bola Tinubu.”

“We are here to tell Deltans to prepare their minds towards the swearing in of our incoming president, Tinubu. You can see the mammoth crowd, and it shows that Delta State is APC, and APC is Delta State – you can see it yourself. This is a proof that Deltans love Tinubu.”

“You know this is his second home. His wife is from Delta State and his wife is from Warri. This is the beginning of APC’s victory in Delta State. Any state you visit in the south-south, you will see this crowd. If you can flash back to when we did our inaugurations (PRIFGLA and TAG), the crowd was like this, and it indicates that South-South is for APC and APC is for South-South.”

“However, I use this medium to advice Delta State APC members to go their wards and units and spread the Tinubu message. They should be prepared that the opposition parties will try to drag votes with them, even though we know that APC will win, so they must go down to the grassroots and ensure that all our candidates are voted for – from president to House of Assembly.”

Reuben said the reason he is supporting Tinubu is because he is a good man and has the key to the development of Nigeria, especially the south-south.

Also speaking, the Delta State Coordinator of the Pastor Reuben Initiative for Good Leadership and Accountability, PRIFGLA, Mr. Fregene Taiwo, said “The crowd you are seeing here today it marvelous. We are supporting Tinubu because of the many good things he did while he was Governor of Lagos State.”

“Even when Obasanjo stopped Lagos State allocation, he was still able to manage the state and run it effectively with resources generated by the state.”

“We from Delta State deem it fit to support him because if he takes over, he will change the narratives of both Delta and Nigeria. We are currently campaigning door to door – to ensure that everybody across the LGAs comes out enmass to vote for APC.”

On his part, the Delta State Coordinator of The Asiwaju Group, TAG, Mr. Lube James, said “We have been sensitizing the people of Delta State on the need to vote for Tinubu because he did well in Lagos State.”

“When Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan was Governor of Delta State, we used to go to Lagos State regularly to take lectures on how to manage any state effectively, so, if we have Tinubu as President, I believe Nigeria will be developed to the level that people will come from diaspora to learn from us.”

“Delta State is currently ruled by PDP, but as we speak the people of Delta State are tired because the PDP is not delivering the dividends of democracy or good governance to them. They are tired and they want APC to come and take over.”

“Thank God we also have a candidate, Ovie Omo-Agege, who knows how to develop and make Delta State a better place. So, we are very sure of victory because people across all the Local Government Areas of the state are begging us to come and take over from the PDP.”
