SUBEB Organizes Leadership Training for Head Teachers

The State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Sokoto State, under the leadership of Executive Chairman Alh Umar Nagwari Tambuwal, recently organized a six-day training workshop on leadership for over 310 head teachers from across the state. The training was held in collaboration with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto as contained in a statement by the information officer Murtala Danladi Tsamaye. 

The primary objective of the training was to equip head teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills to improve their leadership styles in line with current trends in education. The training aimed to enhance the participants’ ability to effectively manage their schools and improve the quality of education.

The training was conducted in three centers:Yakubu Mu’azu Science Model Primary School, Sokoto, Magaji Rufa’i Islamiyya Primary School, Shagari and Achida Model Primary School, Wurno Local Government

The Achida Center in Wurno Local Government had 106 participants drawn from eight Local Government Education Authorities. The training was designed to cater to the needs of head teachers from different parts of the state, ensuring that they are well-equipped to lead their schools effectively.

The training is expected to have a positive impact on the leadership styles of the head teachers, enabling them to improve the quality of education in their schools. By equipping head teachers with the necessary skills and knowledge, SUBEB aims to enhance the overall performance of primary schools in Sokoto State.
