**Supreme Court Clarifies: IREV Portal Failure Doesn’t Halt Collation of Results**

By Daniel Edu

The Supreme Court has made a crucial clarification regarding the IREV portal’s functionality. The court ruled that the failure of the IREV portal does not impede the process of collating election results. It emphasized that the IREV portal is not a primary tool for result collation. Even if the INEC portal experiences issues, the collation process can continue. However, it was noted that the non-functioning of the IREV portal might impact voter confidence. Justice Okoro also highlighted that INEC retains the right to determine the method for transmitting results. #SupremeCourt #ElectionResults #IR
