    President Buhari Is Passionate On Agriculture- AFAN President

    The national president, All farmers association of Nigeria, architect Kabir Ibrahim disclosed president Muhammadu Buhari as passionate on implementation of all agricultural policies that guarantee Nigeria’s future food production programmes.

    Kabir disclosed this in an interview with our correspondent, adding that Nigeria is gradually advancing in the economic development within agricultural sector, while the present administration is working out best plans that are beneficial to the farmers despites some obstacles that can be overcomed in a limited period.

    He disclosed that the recent change in the federal executive council, where the minister of agriculture and that of power were removed shows that president Buhari is trying to ensure that all his administration’s strategies on agriculture is successful so as to facilities viable food production respectively.

    Architect Kabir Ibrahim lamented that ” we are now certain that our new minister of agriculture Dr. Muhammad Mahmood Abubakar would work with the Nigerian farmers without bias, and on our side, AFAN is always ready to ensure that Agriculture would continue to receive better treatment while implementing every year plan”. He stressed.

    In conclusion, the AFAN president canvassed his associations supports towards the review and renewal of another long term agricultural policies that would correlates with global change in profitable agricultural production.

    Insecurity Threatening Food Production In Nigeria- AFAN President

    The national president of the all farmers association of Nigeria(AFAN), architect Kabir Ibrahim has called on federal government to confront security challenges that is becoming a great threat to peaceful coexistence in Nigeria which breach the national food production across the country.


    He stated this in a press statement he  signed and issued to our correspondent adding that” what had happened to the rice farmers in Borno state is very unfortunate and threatening especially at this era, when the present administration is bringing out excellent strategies on mass food production according to crops value chains” the statement said.


    In addition, architect Kabir Ibrahim disclosed that insurgents often dominates forests to carry out their illegal activities such as killing of innocent citizens, kidnappings and vandalization of public properties which needs urgent confrontation for the betterment of the livelihood especially at northeast and some states at the northwest.


    “The Nigerian farmers wish to condole the families and relatives, as well as the Borno state government over the death of the recently slaughtered rice farmers at Zabarmari area which has been described as total loss which is paining the Nigerians especially the farmers of all categories”. He concluded

    We Are Working To Makes Nigeria Food Secured Nation- AFAN President.

    The National president of the All farmers association (AFAN)  Architect Kabir Ibrahim said that Nigeria is not yet  food secured due to so many challenges affecting national agricultural production despites the efforts being made by the present administration in promoting food production since inception.
    He made this disclosure during this year’s world food day, where he opined that ” we are working selflessly to ensure that Nigeria becomes dependant in food production in different channels especially when the Buhari administration is providing all the necessary supports that are meant for agricultural transformation in this country”. He lamented.
    Architect Kabir Ibrahim noted that agriculture is facing so many challenges in Nigeria like the issue of insecurity which comprises banditry, kidnappings, drought in some areas and lack of implementation of many important policies that are very vital in the successful food production targets which must be look upon.
    The national president reassured that AFAN would continue to ensure that Nigeria becomes examplary  food secures country by adopting all the relevant research findings and creates more mediums that are readily  available in bridging the gap between the Nigerian farmers, the research services and the federal government so as to facilitates food production.
