The national president of the all farmers association of Nigeria(AFAN), architect Kabir Ibrahim has called on federal government to confront security challenges that is becoming a great threat to peaceful coexistence in Nigeria which breach the national food production across the country.
He stated this in a press statement he signed and issued to our correspondent adding that” what had happened to the rice farmers in Borno state is very unfortunate and threatening especially at this era, when the present administration is bringing out excellent strategies on mass food production according to crops value chains” the statement said.
In addition, architect Kabir Ibrahim disclosed that insurgents often dominates forests to carry out their illegal activities such as killing of innocent citizens, kidnappings and vandalization of public properties which needs urgent confrontation for the betterment of the livelihood especially at northeast and some states at the northwest.
“The Nigerian farmers wish to condole the families and relatives, as well as the Borno state government over the death of the recently slaughtered rice farmers at Zabarmari area which has been described as total loss which is paining the Nigerians especially the farmers of all categories”.
