    Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro, has congratulated retired General Christopher Gwabin Musa on his appointment as Minister of Defence by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his subsequent confirmation by the Senate.In a congratulatory message released to journalists in Jos on Sunday, Dr. Doro described General Musa’s appointment as a timely and strategic decision for the country, given his extensive record of service and leadership in Nigeria’s security sector.“

    I extend my warmest congratulations to Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) on his nomination, confirmation, and swearing-in as the Honourable Minister of Defence by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR,” the statement read.Dr. Doro noted that the President’s choice reflects his ability to identify exemplary talent and deploy individuals whose commitment and experience align with national priorities. He added that General Musa’s appointment underscores the administration’s dedication to strengthening key institutions with competent and patriotic leaders.“General Musa’s record of service speaks for itself,” Doro stated. “He is a disciplined officer, a strategist, and a patriot whose leadership is certain to bring renewed vigour to our nation’s defence architecture.”

    Basketball promoter Igoche Mark has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating General Christopher Gwabin Musa as Nigeria’s Minister of Defence designate. The nomination, conveyed to the Senate on Monday in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio, follows the resignation of former Defence Minister Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar.In a statement on Tuesday, Mark praised the President’s decision and described Gen. Musa as a disciplined and results-driven leader whose background reflects excellence and commitment.Mark noted that Gen.
