    Sokoto NUJ Congratulates Legislatives For Successful Swearing-in

    The Sokoto State Council Of The Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ) Congratulate the State and National Assembly members for their successful inauguration.

    The Council deemed it sufficient to felicitate with His Excellency Dr Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, the three Senators, Former Governor ALIYU Magatakarda Wamakko, Former Governor Aminu Waziri Tambawal and Senator Ibrahim Lamido as well as the Eleven Members of the Federal House of Representatives from Sokoto State, Rt. Hon. Tukur Bala Bodinga, the Speaker Sokoto State House of Assembly and his Deputy Hon. Kabiru Ibrahim Kware.

    As contained in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary,Dalhatu Abdullahi S/Magori and Muhammad Nasir Bello, the Council appealed on the Lawmakers to carry all the State Population along irrespective of Political affiliation to further move the State forward in the interest of all citizens.

    NUJ Sokoto also advised the Lawmakers to actualise the trust of the citizens and mandate on them and support the state government to succeed in its designed nine points Agenda and focus toward improving the living condition of the people for the better.

    The state council similarly appealed for maximum support and prayers from the people of the State to enable the Lawmakers succeed in their promises and services at making Sokoto a better place for all.

    It is with heavy heart and sublime submission to the divine will of Almighty Allah that we received the news of the demise of Alhaji Hassan Danbaba (Magajin Garin Sokoto), Board Chairman, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA).

    This was contained in a release jointly signed by the Sokoto Council NUJ chairman and Secretary, Dalhatu Abdullahi S/Magori and Muhammad Nasir Bello respectively.

    This great loss has given an edge not only to the people of Sokoto state and Nigeria but global community

    On behalf of all working Journalists in Sokoto state, the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Sokoto State Council, wishes to use this medium to condole with the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR, mni, His Excellency Gov. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal CFR (Matawallen Sokoto), his immediate family and the entire people of Sokoto state and Nigeria for the loss

    May Almighty Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and his entire family as well as his associates the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
