    In a monumental stride for his career, Davido is set to headline his inaugural concert at Madison Square Garden as part of his extended Timeless Tour, masterfully produced by Duke Concept and spanning North America.

    The much-anticipated tour is scheduled to commence with a spectacular show at Madison Square Garden, followed by an enchanting performance at Montreal’s Place Bell on April 19, concluding with a memorable finale at Orlando’s Additional Financial Arena on April 24.

    Expressing his excitement, Davido shared, “Seven years ago, I walked past Madison Square Garden and looked at it and said, ‘We gonna come back and shut this down.’ So to be here now, able to play Madison Square Garden, in New York, one of the first cities and fans to embrace my music, at this iconic venue … it’s a dream come true.”

    This historic performance follows the trailblazing success of fellow Nigerian artists at MSG, with Burna Boy’s groundbreaking stint in April 2022 and Wizkid’s unforgettable concert in November 2022, showcasing the increasing impact of Nigerian music on the global stage.

    Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy has extended his condolences to fellow musician Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, in the wake of his mother’s passing.

    Wizkid’s close associate confirmed the unfortunate news that the singer’s mother had passed away after a short illness. Mrs. Balogun, who had been a steadfast pillar of support for her son’s burgeoning music career, was often seen displaying her unwavering encouragement from the sidelines during concerts. She passed away in the early hours of Friday, August 18, 2023.

    Wizkid’s longstanding manager, Sunday Aare, also verified the tragic news to The Punch, stating, “Yes, she died this morning, at about 1.30 am.”

    During his concert in Detroit, Burna Boy took a poignant moment to honor the memory of the departed. Addressing the audience, he referred to Wizkid as his brother and acknowledged the depth of his grief. Burna Boy empathized with the pain Wizkid must be feeling, acknowledging that he himself couldn’t fathom the loss of his own mother.

    “Before I proceed, one of my brothers lost his mother, Wizkid. I want to say Rest In Peace to his mother. I can’t imagine how it would be to lose my own mama,” Burna Boy conveyed in his heartfelt message.

    Gates who spoke while delivering his opening address at an event in Lagos State, ‘Advancing Africa: Unleashing the Power of Youth in Science and Innovation’, said Phoebe told him he would be lucky to see Nigerian Afrobeats stars, Burna Boy and Rema during his stay in Nigeria.The Microsoft co-founder revealed that Afrobeats from Nigeria has gained popularity across the world.

    He said, “Of course, being here in Nigeria, I can’t help but mention the amazing creativity that goes on here.

    “Afrobeats from Nigeria are popular everywhere. When my daughter Phoebe heard I was coming to Nigeria, she said, ‘You’re lucky to go see Burna Boy and Rema.’”

    Gates also recalled how he saw Davido and Wizkid perform during his last visit to the country.

    “But I also remember, the last time I was here, I did get to see Davido and Wizkid perform and I was quite impressed with that. So, my kids think I’ve come to a very hip place,” he added.

    B-Red, who happens to be the son of Senator Ademola Adeleke, the current Governor of Osun State, mentioned that he lived in the Mo’Hits house for a period exceeding two years. He further explained that both he and his brother, Sina Rambo, served as Mo’Hits personal assistants while they were in America. Whenever the Mo’Hits crew arrived, they would reach out to B-Red and Sina Rambo to arrange for their pickup, saying, “We are landing at this time, please come and get us.”

    The ‘Essence’ singer whose highly anticipated album, “More Love Less Ego” is set to be released on November 4 bragged that he’d yet remain the wealthiest artiste.

    He said if he decides to give up music today, he would still remain ‘everybody’s daddy’.

    Still flexing his egoistic muscles, Big Wiz promised to initiate classes for other ‘niggas’ where they can come learn how to make smart business choices with a view to get all they deserve with less work.

    “I can stop touching the mic today and y’all lil niggas still can’t touch the wealth! Even if u ask ur dad and mom for help #moreloveLessEgo #EveryBody’sDaddy”, said Wizzy.

    “Also soon I’ll open a class for u niggas to come learn how to get all you deserve with less work and smart business choices,” he wrote.

    Furthermore, Starboy instructed his ‘babies’ to ensure they add the prefixes, sir or daddy to his name from this point on.

    Grammy award-winning singer, Wizkid is about to have an addition to his family as one of his baby mamas is about to be delivered off a baby.

    His baby mama and manager, Jada Pollock, showed off her baby bump in pictures that surfaces in the Nigerian digital space. The unborn child will be the second offspring of the couple.

    The expectant mother, took to her Instagram page to express how life is about to get better than anything she could have ever wished for.

    Penning a sweet note to her son and the unborn baby, and sharing lovely photos of herself with her first child, Jada wrote, “Here is to the very next chapter. I know it is about to be better than anything I could have ever wished for. Two beautiful children to brighten my days. Too never make me want to give up.

    “To make me want to go harder and fight harder than I need to. Love deeper than I knew I could and give me even more of a perspective and purpose than I could have foreseen in life.

    “Just when we thought that we were blessed with one incredible human GOD showed up again and blessed us with another. I feel so grateful and blessed.

    Wizkid and Jada Pollock have a son together. He was born on 28 October 2017 and named Zion Ayo Balogun.
