Governor Aminu Waziri Tambawal has again been commended for taking a serious proactive measure in curtailing the challenges of security bedeviling Sokoto state by supporting the vigilante groups across the state.
This effort of the State Government will no doubt compliment the security agencies’ efforts in tackling the incessant attacks by bandits, kidnappers and Boko Haram members.
Shehu Muhammad Goronyo who was speaking to newsmen Sokoto said he was certain this gesture from willing vigilante groups in the affected areas will surely reduce the zeal of these criminals.
Shehu further asserted that his prayer to this end is that, the vehicles distributed to these groups be used according to the purpose and mission.
He called on the affected local governments to be very vigilant in monitoring and surpervising the usage of these vehicles day by day, so that these groups will support our security agencies in taking the fight to the heartless elements.
While appreciating the governor for this milestone, he hoped for both financial and logistic support be sustained.
