Tambuwal, PDP Hierarchy Condoles Bature, National Working Secretary

Following the death of the mother of the National Organizing Secretary, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Umar Bature, Hajiya Larai, the Governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has condoled the bereaved national officer of the party.

As contained in a statement by the governor’s media aide, Governor Tambuwal, who cut short an official trip the same day, has been on hand not only to commiserate with Hon. Bature, but to also host visitors paying condolence visits to him.

Among such high profile party leaders who came calling were the Chairman Board of Trustees (BoT), Sen. Walid Jubril  and some members of the executive council of the party. These are: Hon. Debo Ologunagba, National Publicity Secretary, Alh Ahmed Yayari, National Treasurer and Hon Daniel Woyengukiro, National Financial Secretary.

Also on the team are: Chief Obi Okechukwu, National Auditor, Prince Mohammed Sulaiman Kadade, National Youth Leader and Rt. Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, National Vice Chairman (North Central).

On Saturday, Governor Tambuwal again led the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Muhammad Mainasara Ahmad, the Head of Service (HOS) and commissioners in his cabinet among other personalities within and out side the state, to witness three day Fidda’u (intercession) prayers over the demise of Bature’s mother.

Gov Tambuwal, joined by hundreds of mourners and sympathizers at the Tafawa Balewa Road, Sokoto residence of Bature prayed for the repose of the deceased in sessions led by three Imams.

The Imams, who one after the other offered special prayers for the repose of the soul of late Hajiya Larai, beseiged Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings as well as grant her eternal rest.

They also prayed for the entire family to have the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
